ABOUT
The idea behind my coyote food trucks is that they would be a collectable toy like a blind box but also customizable and unique like actual food trucks. My design for my collectable toy was actual coyotes and how they live in city environments without people even knowing about it. Coyotes actually survive longer when living off human trash than when living in the wild.
So the idea was coyotes come out at night and trendy food trucks come out at night. People could collect all the of them or customize their own truck and be creative and unique.
INSPIRATION SKETCHES
The coyote food truck started out with sketches of coyotes because I was on a trip to Martha’s Vineyard. Apparently, a coyote was swimming between the islands and eating the wildlife. I was thinking about it swimming from island to island. The sketches and ideas changed as I learned more about coyotes.

After I came back home from Martha’s Vineyard, I learned more about coyotes, and I saw many food trucks. I found out that, like many other animals, coyotes only come out at night. Food trucks have a fun trend of coming out at night for special events. I learned that coyotes actually survive longer when they have access to human trash. They actually live in cities and towns, but people just don’t know it. They are incredibly smart, look both ways before crossing a street, and know not to make noises so they don’t get caught.
I wanted to make a toy set that you could make unique. You can paint the food truck to personalize it and you can make your own food items out of clay. The coyote would be the food truck vendor. It would be a blind box. In each blind box, you would get one coyote, one truck to paint, and 3 little food toys.

PROTOTYPE
This is my first prototype. I've decided that I wanted the truck to be larger and the coyote to be a variation of different colors based on the types of coyotes living in the USA.

I still want to make a couple small changes and get all the pieces printed in the correct size, but in general I am very happy with it.
